Sammy's POV
We were about ten minutes in our search when Avery's voice could be heared through the communicators. "Guys, I have movement at my side of the roofs."he said. "About 1,75 m tall and dressed in black.". As he said this discription, the suspect switched sides what caused that he landed the roof a head of me. "Got him."I told the team as I started the chase. "I'll try to lure him to the roof of the mainhangar.". "We'll be waiting there for you."Steve assured me.
I jumped from roof to roof with the flexibilaty of a cat, keeping my eyes on the figure clothed in black that ran a few meters before me. Just as I thought he went to the roof of the mainhangar. I knew however that my team still needed some time to reach us so from the moment my feet hitted the said roof, I pulled out my gun and aimed it at the guy in front of me.
"Wing I presume?"I asked him. "Samira Jaxon."he said in a raspy voice. "Long time no see.". I frowned confused. He knew me not only by my codename but also by my real one. Where did I know this guy from?
Wing used my confusion to kick my gun away. "Now before you go for that knife of yours,"he said when I reached for said weapon in my belt, "what did you think of a handcombat? You used to love those.". He didn't gave me time to repley as he charged forward to attack me. I quickly followed his example, blocking his blows and tried to use his strength against him.
He managed to kick me in the ribs while I went for his nose. In the process I grabbed the black scarf he used to cover his face and pulled it away as I stepped back to get some distance between us. I gasped when I saw the face of the person in front of me. Dark brown eyes, short dark brown hair and a burnscar that ran from his right eye to his right cheek.
That was the moment I heared commotion coming from the staircase that leaded to the roof where we were standing. My team was coming and Wing knew that too. He dashed towards the edge of the roof and jumped off, landing in the water of the harbor and disappeared between the many ships and boats.
"HFO, freeze!"Danny yelled when Steve and he entered the roof followed by Avery, Kono and Chin. "What the hell?"Avery exclaimed. "Don't tell me you let the Wing-guy escape! Mira, how the hell did that happen?". At this point he noticed the look I had in my eyes. The one of suprise mixed with confusion.
"Sammy, you okay?"Steve asked when he walked up to me. "You look like you've just seen a ghost.". "That's because I did."I managed to whisper and looked at the scarf I still had clenched in my hand. "I've seen Wing's face. I know who he is.". "Who?"Kono wanted to know. I took a deep breath and glanced at Avery. "It's Winston.".

"I thought Winston was one of your teammembers that died in that explosion."Danny said when we had returned to the HFO-headquarters. Avery had taken off from the moment the name 'Winston' had left my lips. I guess he went to the cemetery to visit Sydney.
"I thought so too."I admitted and burried my head in my hands. "I should have know!"I cried out. "Hey, it's not your fault."Steve told me and placed a hand on my shoulder. "I didn't see it."I continued. "I had all the pieces of the puzzle but I still failed to see the big picture.". "What do you mean?"Chin asked. I sighed. "Wing. We always assumed it was a name but it actually isn't. It's an acronym.". "An acronym of what?"Kono questioned. "Of Winston his full name."I explained. "Winston Indiego Nathan Grudes. If you take the first letter of each name you can spell WING. And then there is also...".
I stopped as images flashed through my mind. Images I prefered to forget. Steve grabbed my hand and squeezed it, encouraging me to continue. I swallowed, trying to force the lump that had found its way to my throat back. "On our last mission it was Winston who was responsible for placing the explosives and to set them off when we were in safety. Sydney and Timmy's bodies we managed to recover. But we never found Winston. We just thought that he was too close with the explosion what caused there were no remains left.".
"But in truth he planned the whole thing to fake his death."Danny pointed out. "And he killed Sydney and Tommy by doing so."I added and shook my head. "Avery has to go through a hell right now."I mumbled. "He trusted Winston with his life. Even worse... They were best friends. They would always joke about the day that Avery would finally have the guts to ask Sydney to marry him, Winston would be his best man. And now he hears that best friend is the reason why the love of his life and their unborn child are dead.".
"If I was Avery, I wouldn't think twice about killing Winston with my bare hands."Steve admitted. "That's where I'm afraid of."I remarked. "Avery never really was the type to seek revenge but Sydney was his life. We'll have to make sure we'll find Winston before he does. If we don't, we'll find pieces of Winston all over Hawaii.".
