Steve’s POV
‘Knock-knock-knock!’. With a groan I woke up glancing at Sammy who was still sleeping peacefully next to me and next to the alarmclock on which the glowing red numbers 9:15. Carefully I slipped out of bed, trying my best not to wake Sammy. With all the things going on with lately, she sure could use some sleep.
Still sleepy, I made my way towards the livingroom and then towards the front door where the noise of a fist connecting with the wood of the door came from. I twisted the key in the lock and opened the door only to reveal a blonde haired girl with eyes very simular to mine. “Mary?”I asked confused. “Hey big brother.”she greeted me smiling, totally ignoring the fact that I was only wearing boxers.
“Since when are you back in Hawaii?”I wanted to know but got interrupted by some noises coming from behind me. Mary apparently had heard it too since she was glancing over my shoulder, trying to figure out who was responsible for it. “So you have company, huh?”my sister asked me smiling. “Cath again?”. “Actually...”I started on which Sammy walked into view, wearing nothing more then her underwear and one of my shirts.
“Steve?”she said sleepy, totally obvious to the fact that Mary was standing in the doorway. “I thought we had agreed about sleeping in today. 9:15 isn’t sleeping in.”. “Ow. My. God.”Mary breathed. “Sammy?”. “Mary?”Sammy asked shocked. “Ow my God!”my sister said again and pushed beside me to hug her. “You’re back! And that with Steve! I can’t believe it!”. “Euhm... Hey Mary.”Sammy said unsure as she hugged my sister back and looked over Mary’s shoulder at me with a questioning look.
“Where the hell have you been all this time?”Mary wanted to know when she pulled back from the hug. Sammy and I looked at each other and then at my sister. “You might want to sit down for that story.”I told her on which I closed the front door. So far for sleeping in and taking it easy for today.

Sammy’s POV
“Wow.”Mary said a good half hour later. “So a Ghostrunner, huh? I always knew you spended way too much time with JJ and Steve over here and this is clearly the evidence.”. “Like wanting to become the best snipper in history wasn’t proof already for that.”Steve murmered.
“Hey, I am a good snipper.”I defended myself. “Back when I still worked in team, the snipping would always be my job.”. “Stop right there.”Mary interrupted her. “I’ve survived an entire childhood having dinner in between talks about weapons and anything military related. I so don’t have to urge to relive that all on my first day back in Hawaii.”.
“Speaking about that, what are you doing back here anyway?”Steve asked her. “Not that I’m not happy to see you but I thought you prefered LA.”. “I did.”Mary replied. “But as awesome LA may be... It’s not home. And it’s also not where my big brother is.”. “So you’re moving back here?”I asked next. “Yep.”Mary told us. “Don’t worry though, I’m staying at an hotel until I find a place of my own. I won’t be bothering you two lovebirds.”. She ended her comment with a wink.
“Does that ‘not bothering’ part also count for waking us up way too early?”Steve asked her in return. “I’ll try to think about it.”Mary remarked before she sipped her coffee. “So... When is the wedding planned?”. Her question made that both Steve and I almost choked into our own coffee.
“Come again?”I asked when I found my voice back. Mary looked at me and then at her brother. “You got to be kidding me.”she said to him. “God Steve! You’ve been apart for what? Five years?”. “Seven actually.”I corrected her. “Seven years.”she picked up. “And all that time you looked for her even though everyone told you to just give it up.”. I glanced at Steve suprised. I knew I had waited for him. But didn’t knew he had been looking for me too when he returned to Hawaii.
“Seven years.”Mary repeated again. “You finally managed to find her back, you finally managed to make up and still no ring. Man up already Steve and just pop the question. You two are meant to be together. That has been as clear as glass ever since you two started dating for the first time.”.
I bit my lip smiling, well knowing Mary had brought up the whole ‘wedding thing’ just to annoy Steve. He however didn’t seemed too bothered with the whole conversation though. “Ow, I’ll pop the question alright.”he promised his sister and by glancing at me he seemed to also promise this to me. “When the right moment comes around of course.”.
“Good to know there is still hope for you, big brother.”Mary commented and nudged Steve’s shoulder. I shook my head smiling. “You know what? I’m going back to bed.”I told the two siblings. “It’s way too early for me to have conversations like this.”. I shove my chair back and made my way towards the hallway that led towards the room Steve and I now shared. “I think you just spooked her.”I heard Steve mumble as I left. “Nah.”Mary commented. “I just gave her some interesting material to dream about.”.
