Amazone’s POV
A good hour later, Neill pulled the van to a stop near a walking path that led into the jungle. “This is the touristic route to my treehouse.”I told the Avengers as they all pulled their backpacks and other material – in Thor’s case his hammer- from the van. “I normally take shortcuts.”.
“Shortcuts?”Natascha repeated. “Tree to tree.”I explained. “Is way quicker when you’re experienced in it than walking.”. “I hope you guys brought camping gear because it looks like we’ll have to stay the night in the jungle.”Neill said as he observed the sun. “It tends to get dark quickly here and you don’t want to get lost.”.
“Don’t worry.”Tony said and clapped my cousin on his back. “We have Pocahontas with us, don’t we?”. “Pocahontas prefers to not travel at night either.”I remarked, knowing well enough the billionaire’s nickname was aimed at me. “Too many predators are on the move then plus… Around here, there is no law when it comes to hunting. I rather not get shot because someone confuses me with a panther.”.
“Camping it is.”Bruce decided. “Fine.”Tony huffed. “A good thing I brought my latest invention, camp in a box, along for this trip…”. “Brother Tony, that invention of yours isn’t going to explode like the heated corn machine, is it?”Thor questioned.
“Heated corn machine?”I repeated confused. “He means the popcorn machine.”Clint explained. “Tony tweaked it because he thought ten minutes to make popcorn was too long, resulting into a kitchen covered with popcorn and one smoking popcorn machine.”.
“Exactly why I still trust on the old way of making popcorn.”Steve said. “A deep pan with a lid. No explosions with that one.”. “Oh, I’m sure Tony will find a way somehow…”Clint pointed out on which I couldn’t help but laugh earning a glare from the mentioned billionaire.
“Okay people!”I called everyone’s attention as I strapped a hunting knife to my leg. “The jungle is my playground so you guys have to follow my rules.”.  “I love it when a woman gets all bossy.”Tony said with a smirk as Cap slapped him against the back of his head. “Auch!”Tony whined. “That was uncalled for Capsicle.”.
“Thank you Steve.”I thanked the super soldier to show Tony it was defiantly called for. “Rules! Don’t pick any kind of food because most of it is poisonous. Respect nature so try to leave it unharmed. And if we’re bumping into any kind of animal, let me deal with it. You guys don’t interfere with anything unless I say so. Questions?”.
“Yes, one Pocahontas.”Tony replied, raising his hand. “Is there Wi-Fi in the jungle?”. I face palmed. “Steve?”I asked on which he smacked Tony’s head again. “Auch!!!”he whined again. “It was a fair question!”.
“So much for Iron Man…”Neill muttered on which I snorted and shook my head. “Let’s go!”I told them. “We have lost enough daylight already as it is!”.

Clint’s POV
Within the next half hour we came across of a jaguar who bared his teeth at the sight of his royal superhero meal. That is… If it weren’t for Amazone. We all watched in disbelief as she crouched down and growled dangerously showing off her own teeth.
The jaguar hissed in return on which Amazone growled again, looking the animal dead in the eye. The large cat slowly backed off before he fled back into the thick jungle. “Way to go female Tarzan!”Tony cheered and even applauded. “Wow.”Bruce muttered as Amazone got back on her feet. “It almost looked as if you were communicating with him.”.
“That’s because she was.”Neill, who closed the back of our group, answered. “Zone grew up here. Unlike us who got born and raised in the jungle of humans and houses, she got raised in the one of plants and animals. Therefor she learned to speak the language of the animals, the language of the jungle.”.
“It earned me a status with one of the largest jungle tribes.”Amazone jumped in. “The Kihiri call me ‘Yakara’, she who talks with animals.”. “They also call you ‘Livia’.”Neill said. “It means great warrior.”. “All because I saved their tribe from some raiders.”Amazone said with a smile.
“Some?”Neill asked. “It was twenty against one.”. “As I said, some.”the girl replied to her cousin earning an approving nod from Thor. “Lady Amazone, hearing that, I can only conclude that if you were an Asgardian maiden, many songs would be written about your battles.”.
“Then I hope you never take me to Asgard because how nice that compliment may be, I hate being the centre of attention.”the jungle born told him. “Funny.”Natascha spoke as her eyes landed on me. “I know someone with the same issue.”. I rolled my eyes, brushing the comment off.
“I don’t know about you guys, but I would like to find a better spot to set up camp before it gets completely dark.”I said getting everyone focussed again on the matter at hand. “Shall we continue with our little hike?”. “Lead the way Pocahontas.”Tony agreed as he popped his sunglasses before his eyes.
“I should have let the jaguar eat him.”Amazone mumbled as she continued walking, though I heard it since I was right behind her. “You should have.”I admitted with a smirk. “But than his girlfriend would be very disappointed.”. “He has a girlfriend?”she asked me shocked. “I know, seems impossible.”I answered. “Even we still don’t get what she sees in him.”.
