Amaya’s POV
Luke pulled the car to a stop in the underground parking lot and took a deep breath. “Okay, I’ve got to warn you.”he started. “When I said that my place was small, I meant it. So no judging or whining okay?”.
“Lukey, you know I don’t whine, I demand.”I pointed out with a smile causing my boyfriend to roll his eyes yet he couldn’t hide his amusement. I think that also had to do something with the fact we were taking the ‘next step’ in our oh so complicated relationship.
It was begin January and since I turned eighteen late last year, I thought it was time for a change of décor. Being raised at Camp Half-Blood had been fun and all… But it was time for me to see the world outside the safe boundaries. It was time to finally become a New Yorker instead of a Camper.
My dream was short lived though… The moment I saw the hire prices of even the smallest apartment, I realised I would be stuck at Camp forever. I was a demigod, a demi-titan even! I had no relatives in the real world thanks to the amazing birth of bringing pure moonlight and darkness together. How was I supposed to make money let alone such a high amount?
But every tragedy has a hero who swoops in near the end to save the day and my hero came in the form of no other than Luke Castellan himself. Since we were dating – because that’s how caring the one moment and fighting the other apparently is called – he suggested for me to move in with him. So here we were, in his car with on the backseat the two boxes that held my belongings.
Each carrying a box, we stepped into the compact elevator which brought us with a zooming rhythm to the seventh floor of the apartment building. Luke led me through the narrow hall until we stood before a white door which carried the golden number 704.
“Home sweet home.”Luke said with a tiny smile as he unlocked the door and pushed it open only to reveal a small hallway with two doors in front of me and one on the left of me and another one on my right.
“A quick tour.”the Hermes blood said when we were both standing in the small hallway as he closed the front door. “The doors in front of you lead to the bathroom while the other hides the room where the washing machine is along with other related household stuff. Door to your right is the bedroom and the one to the left…”.
Instead of finishing his sentence, he walked towards the room at our left with me on his heels. I quickly discovered that this was the kitchen/living room area. “We save the world, yet this is all a demigod can afford.”Luke mused. “It’s cool.”I assured him. “At least you have a place to call your own.”.
“No, WE have a place to call our own.”he corrected me with a wink. “Oh, before I forget, there’s a small balcony connected to the bedroom. You have a very nice view of the moon and stars from there.”.
“Cool.”I concluded until I realised something. “Wait a minute… You said bedroom… Don’t you mean bedrooms?”. Luke grinned as his eyes twinkled with mischief. “Nope.”he said smiling. “This place has only one.”.
I glared at him but soon found myself giggling. “Hermes bloods… Always hidden agendas.”I remarked. “As if you’re really that disappointed you have to share a bed with me.”he countered with a smirk. “So, you think this place will do?”. “Yeah.”I said with a nod. “I think the two of us can make a very nice home here.”.

Steady as the Beating Drum
+Jamestown, the new world, midday+
As the sun shined brightly in the sky and over a large village that a large log fence surrounding it and small log houses that were scattered in near a large sandy beach, a man with short reddish brown hair that fell to his shoulders, brown eyes and wearing a tan buckskin loin cloth and a dark olive green hat, smiled as he walked over to to the beach and then looked out at the calm water just as a small rowboat rowed towards the shore and the man.

That was adorable. And one bedroom apartments in New York are not cheap I can see her problem. And she should have known Luke better. LOL Great story my friend. I enjoyed as always.
